Game Inbox: Why Cyberpunk 2077 was priced at £ 135

Cyberpunk killed my pc
At 11:00 pm on December 9th, I finally made my choice. I intended to download Cyberpunk 2077 to my PC and play as a street child. I have a midrange PC and the game ran fine at high settings until it was running or driving, so I was happy to put it in the middle. I went out for 30 minutes to buy supplies. When I got home, my PC didn’t turn on. It smelled fiery and I couldn’t see anything out of place, so I came to the conclusion that cyberpunk destroyed my PC.

I’ve been playing for 3 hours (I was looking at the menu for 1 hour) and Steam didn’t give me a refund, so it’s down £ 50. I can’t repair my PC by poking or poking (I don’t know what I’m doing). Very frustrated and frustrated that the video game vacation I had booked for work was ruined, I bought the PlayStation 4 version for an additional £ 50. I sent my PC to a repair shop and received a call today saying that the repair cost is only £ 35. Is the memory fixed? I don’t know how that happens.

My girlfriend is currently enjoying my Steam version of cyberpunk on her gaming laptop (she provided that service, but I was worried that it would also break down). With graphics features like her laptop, the game looks great. I’m used to the PlayStation 4 version and deffo prefers to drive with a controller, but the graphics are nappy compared to gaming laptops. As I immerse myself in the PS4 cyberpunk glitch, grainy, blurry world, I’ve come to accept them.

Silver lining
I was looking forward to the night of Cyberpunk 2077, but I had a hard time getting through the character creation page as the game constantly crashed. Eventually you can get over it and the game is plagued with bugs on your PC.

The G-sync compatible monitor tears the screen and crashes every few weeks. These seem to be common problems. How did CD Projekt Red believe it was possible to release this unfinished game? I’ll leave it for a few weeks before reconfirming if the game update will help.

It’s a bright story, but I love Oculus Quest 2 and VR games are a revelation. We hope that GC and all its readers will have a wonderful Christmas.

Money on the table
After spending about 6 hours on the PS4 Pro version of Cyberpunk 2077, I decided to clean up the game until the PlayStation 5 patch was available. PS4 Pro bugs, performance issues, and general visual quality degradation are pretty devastating to the gaming experience and enjoyment.

According to CD Projekt Red, the game is almost new generation only, and to be honest, that was what they should have done. But obviously they couldn’t throw away the Xbox One / PlayStation 4 money.

If the base console and Pro versions are much better, that’s fine, but they’re terrible. Coupled with refraining from careful fragments of base console footage and mid-generation footage, it’s pretty scandalous, and CD Projekt Red has a lot of answers.

I thought I seized the opportunity because there were all warning signs before the launch and the console version didn’t match all the pre-release footage. However, the builds released in the console are not just a reduced version of high-end PC builds. The console version is broken and does not fit your purpose. Even with the warning sign, you have the right to expect a much better game than the one released.

The PC version is like a separate game from the console, but the PC still has a lot of problems. We are confident that the PlayStation 5 / Xbox Series X version will be significantly improved. But what’s the mess of console releases, and most disappointing console releases require you to join No Man’s Sky, Watch Dogs, and more.

Inversion reaction
I touched on one of the most disruptive issues in the game and dared to come across this article on whether to flip the Y camera axis. I’m a hardcore barter and that’s why it perfectly summarizes my feelings.

That is, if you want to place the joystick above or behind the head of a playable character, push it up to force the head and point the view down. The reverse is also true. Or, as the article says, I’m “acting” on the character, while the non-inverter is “acting” on the character.

Streaming cyberpunk
I know that Stadia is officially intended to be a laughing stock, but at this point it’s pretty incredible and I can’t believe it’s not doing any better. If you buy Cyberpunk 2077 for a completely reasonable £ 50, you’ll get a free Stadia Premier Edition that includes a controller and Chromecast so you can play on your TV. Given how badly cyberpunk works on the console, is it definitely worth the punt?

Sign up for Stadia Pro’s Free Month and get £ 10 off your first game. Stadia Premiere Edition is now also available for free on Cyberpunk (controller and Chromecast Ultra). It’s only £ 40 and a lot. A friend who did this says it’s streaming in 4K and is smooth and slick. If you don’t have a gaming PC or one of the next generation machines, it might be the best way to play.

Silent protagonist
RE: Hot topic. I didn’t plan to write – most of the games I play don’t have a protagonist that I can really talk to. However, while playing the Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity demo, I realized that I really like the links, mainly because he doesn’t speak. This stands out when all the voices I hear are pretty terrible (or is it just me?).

Of course, not only because the voices of other characters are terrible (serious story, it was jarring to set it in Spanish), but I generally like the silent protagonist. It projected without being bound by the rules that were decided in advance. This doesn’t mean I’m a big fan of character creators. The worlds they participate in are so different that you can’t play roles, but it’s hard to feel a connection with someone who doesn’t have a personality. Ourselves (with the exception of games like The Sims and Animal Crossing).

In contrast, silent protagonists let them handle parts of the different world, but if the activity is more grounded, such as talking to other characters, I still “dive in” some of them. You can feel it.

But what I especially like about Link is that he (at least Zelda: Breath of the Wild) seems to be happy. I like to play as a positive energy radiator (without throwing it at my face by talking constantly), so this isn’t just for links, but for Mario, the wolf of the gods, and other characters like no character at all. I will talk very much, including the main character.

Option purchase
I won’t comment on readers who claim that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the World is overrated. This is a very subjective issue and everyone has an opinion that they have the right to. What I find offensive is the logic behind questioning the release of the Wii U game. If they say the game isn’t played by big enough demographics, it makes sense to re-release them. It’s up to the individual consumer to decide if the old game is worth the money.

Gamers who repurchase the game are not forced to repurchase with Knife Points. The only problem with re-releasing a game is that it robs the new game of valuable resources.

Cross-generational crisis
About the problem of this article Buy PS4 Pro instead of PlayStation 5, Some games have a cross-generation period that targets both PlayStation 4 and 5, but the reality is that you only have to look at the release of Cyberpunk 2077 and see if that happens. I don’t seem to know. It lasts forever, and playing cyberpunk on even the PlayStation 4 and Pro isn’t a great experience (the average resolution is 1080p, but it can be low and still can’t sustain 30fps).

This game brought PlayStation 4 to the latter half of PlayStation 3. In this era, older generation GPUs and CPUs, despite being significantly reduced, couldn’t keep up with what was thrown, resulting in lower game resolutions and lower frame rates.

There was a similar crossover period in the PlayStation 4 / Xbox One era, but this time the gap between the two generations is widening, mainly from the perspective of CPU hardware.

Pro is fine for back-catalogs and less demanding games, but isn’t used much immediately for new AAA games.

With the PlayStation 5, you can play the game at least as well as the Pro in the back catalog, which may improve frame rate and resolution.

I sold my old PC and PlayStation 4, but I fully understood that these next-generation consoles with GPU / CPU / storage drives raised the baseline.

My PC GPU was still good (1080 Ti), but if I wanted to use some form of ray tracing, I would have to replace the CPU / motherboard, RAM and storage drives, and possibly the GPU as well.

For now, I would be looking at £ 100 to rebuild to PlayStation 5 level performance.

Personally, I thought of it as a Pro Plus, but it’s effectively £ 200, and you can use it towards the PlayStation 5, frankly £ 200 is wasted.

GC: Let’s not call each other ignorant. The tone you are taking is as if the reader insulted your mother. It’s already clear that Cyberpunk 2077 wasn’t designed with the console in mind, regardless of model or generation.

Wouldn’t it be disastrous for your inbox if the letter was sent to you unfinished, as in some games?
Ron obvious

Immediately head to the retro arcade fans out there. Smyths sells the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1up arcade machine for £ 249.99. It’s £ 150 cheaper and cheaper than other Arcade 1up machines with less joysticks. Not a bad gift for anyone struggling to get one of the new consoles this Christmas. But hide it from them and do your best. Everyone Merry Christmas.
Highway 77

I was playing Planet Coaster on my PlayStation 5 and noticed that there was a DLC pack from £ 7.99 with new vehicles and more. Do you have a season pass?

GC: As far as we know, there are no signs of that.

Thank you for updating the inventory of joysticks in Argos, Meestah Bull. I managed to pick it up on my way home on Wednesday, so I’ve been enjoying it ever since. A well-built kit that sits comfortably on your lap. Not only is it more immersive, but I really enjoy using it because it gives me easy control over many ship’s systems, such as shields and power management. Definitely recommended.

This weekend’s inbox topic was suggested by reader Xane. He asks for the highest amount of money he has ever regretted spending on video game related items.

It could be an early mistake from your child or a recent purchase, but what game, hardware, or merchandise do you think you didn’t really buy?

Do you blame the game or item itself, or misleading marketing or reviews? Or did you just have the wrong idea of what it was? Did the mistake change your attitude altogether, and have you made similar mistakes ever since?
