Golf Fore the Cure celebrates introducing more than 10,000 women to the game – GOLF Sports

The 17th Annual Golf For The Cure, announced by the Subaru National Event, ended the fundraising season with nearly 100 women attending the Islington Golf Club in Etobicoke, Ontario. The group event included 18 holes of golf, raffle, praise and games to celebrate the efforts of thousands of coast-to-coast participants.

Founded in 2003, the program has since raised more than $ 7.2 million and 100% of its proceeds have been donated to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation.

Kara Anthony, Women’s Participation Coordinator for Golf Canada, said: .. “I am excited about the continued growth of women’s golf next season and in Canada.”

The Golf For The Cure, announced by Subaru, was created to encourage women’s participation in golf through fun and non-intimidating activities. Through its unique partnership structure with the Canadian Cancer Society and the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation, the program encourages women across the country to participate in golf activities and raise funding and awareness of the fight against breast cancer, a source close to Canada’s heart. ..

The total amount collected from 2020 to 2021 will be announced at the end of November.
