The specific Halo Infinite release date hasn’t been set yet, but one of the major motion capture actors is confident that the FPS game will be locked for the spring 2021 release. As far as Master Chief’s motion-capture performer Bruce Thomas knows, the sequel will be on the shelves in the first quarter of 2021.
Call of Duty Black Ops-Talking to Dan Allen Gaming (via Reddit) about his work on Cold War, Thomas was asked about his time as Master Chief. Thomas has played Halo’s powerful galactic hero from Halo 4 to the present. Finally, we’ll show you an off-hand status update to show that you’ve performed at Halo Infinite, and the direction of the game for the early 2021 release window.
“Unless we try a little more when COVID goes down, I think we’ve closed the infinity,” says Thomas. “But as far as I know, it’s in a can and ready to go next spring.” His comment isn’t a complete commitment, as developer 343 Industries calls him back. I keep the window open, but it looks like everything scripted has been done. In other words, the blueprint may not have changed significantly.
Halo Infinite was revealed at the mixed reception during the summer. There haven’t been a lot of updates since the delay was announced in August. The 343 is trying to improve that, and while expecting nothing at this year’s Game Awards, it promises to communicate more.
