Atlanta Hawks security guard Kris Dunn underwent an MRI on November 24, confirming the destruction of the cartilage in his right knee. He was able to participate in modified individual training and modified team practice.
Dan began to feel discomfort in his right ankle and lower back as the load on the court increased, showing a steady improvement from cartilage destruction in his right knee.
Recent MRI scans have revealed that the cartilage is loose and the range of motion of the ankle is blocked, resulting in compensation for the knees and hips. The diagnosis was confirmed on December 23 by a television visit with Dr. Martin O’Malley of the New York Special Surgery Hospital.
Dan will undergo arthroscopic surgery on Wednesday, December 30th at a special surgery hospital to remove loose cartilage in his right ankle.
