Healthy summer drinks and their benefits

Elevated mercury can make you quite tired and dehydrated. Water helps prevent dehydration, but looking at healthy drinks helps provide the essential nutrients needed to overcome the heat! Here’s a guide to a flavorful and refreshing combination of summer drinks to survive this season!

1. Satsu sorbet

Sattu has a very cooling effect. Not only is it refreshing, it is full. It is usually prepared in roasted Bengal grams, sifted and then crushed into flour. This flour can be used to make Satsu sorbet. Jaguar or cumin seed powder and chopped coriander leaves can be added to the sats with Himalayan pink salt and water. Sattus sorbet is a super summer cooler with plenty of fiber and protein!


  • Chanasatsu – 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 2 tsp
  • Roasted cumin powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Mintha leaves-2 tsp (chopped)
  • Taste black salt / rock salt
  • Coriander leaves
  • cold water


  1. Add all ingredients to the jug and mix well
  2. Serve in a glass with some ice cubes
  3. Decorate more mint leaves

  • Raw Mango Pulp-4 tbsp
  • Jaggery of taste
  • Roasted Cumin Seed Powder – 1 spoon
  • Black salt – ¼ spoon
  • Water and ice cube


  1. Boil the raw mango until tender
  2. When it cools, remove the skin and squeeze the pulp with a spoon.
  3. Mix all ingredients in a blender and mix well
  4. Add 2 cups of water
  5. First put the ice cube in a glass and pour the panna over it
  6. Decorate mint leaves and coriander leaves

All spices in Sikanji enhance flavor and improve vitamin C absorption. It is anti-inflammatory in nature and prevents sunstroke.


  • cold water
  • lemon juice
  • Roasted Cumin Seed Powder – 1 spoon
  • Black pepper powder – ¼ spoon
  • Black salt – ¼ spoon
  • Mintha leaves
  • Taste Jaggery / Sugar


  1. Blend all ingredients
  2. Add a few ice cubes and decorate the mint leaves.

  • Cocam – 2 cups
  • Roasted ground cumin seeds – 1 sp
  • Black salt – ½ sp
  • Taste sugar / jaggery


  1. Soak dry Kokum in hot water until soft and
  2. Blend to puree, strain puree and discard seeds and hard particles
  3. Put 3 spoons of this puree in a glass and fill with cold water.
  4. Add sugar or jaggery and mix cumin seed powder and black salt
  5. Served with ice cubes and mint leaves
