Hironori Mishiro upset Masayuki Ito, a former WBO £ 130 title holder, in a 10-round lightweight match at the Sumita Gymnasium in Tokyo on December 26th.
The long-awaited match was competitive from the opening bell. Ito pushed the action in most of the early rounds, but the tall Mishiro was effective in boxing his hind legs with an accurate jab. The 26-year-old Mishiro shook the popular Ito many times, so the punches looked pretty. Ito connected with a hard right hand in 4th and 6th, but couldn’t make use of those sequences.
After 10 rounds, two judges scored the match 96-94 in favor of an undefeated OPBF £ 130 title holder, improving 10-0-1 and 3 KOs, but the judges ended in a draw. (95-95). 29-year-old Ito, who lost his WBO £ 130 title to Jamel Herring in 2019, is now 26-3-1, 14KO.
After the battle, Mishiro summoned Shuichiro Yoshino (28), who holds the national lightweight titles of OPBF, WBO Asia Pacific and Japan. “It’s easier to beat Yoshino. I want to fight around spring and beat him,” Mishiro said.
In the semi-finals, Ryo Akaho (36-2-2, 24 KO), 34, a former two-time world title challenger and current £ 122 candidate, is brave but too small Yuto Nakamura (11-6). -1, 8 KO) was destroyed. Second round. The devastating right uppercut defeated Nakamura. The time was 1:52.

The promotion, led by Ichitaro Ishii, a 38-year-old Japanese promoter, was clearly successful, raising a total of $ 370,000 in crowdfunding and more than 10,000 people watching the main event live on YouTube.
