West Indies test captain Jason Holder joined the 22-member Barbados Pride interim team announced Monday by the Barbados Cricket Association in preparation for the Regional Super 50 Cup in Antigua next month.
The 29-year-old all-rounder was one of 10 players who refused to choose a Bangladesh test and full-day tour last week due to “COVID-19 related concerns or personal fears”.
Three other athletes (Shy Hope, Loston Chase and Shammer Brooks) who opted out of the West Indies tour were also nominated in the training unit.
The high-speed bowler Chemerholder, who made his test debut on the New Zealand tour last month, is one of the delegations. He is included in the 15-member 1-day International (ODI) team on the Bangladesh Tour. (CMC)
