The House of the Dragon is based on George RR Martin’s book Fire & Blood, released in November 2018. This series explores the House Targaryen about 300 years before Daenerys and other events in Game of Thrones.

The House of the Dragon will consist of 10 episodes of the first season and may premiere on HBO in 2022. Paddy Considine is reportedly cast as King Viserys Targarien.

IGN has a complete description of the House of the Dragon era, the main character of the book, and the events that the series may cover.Game of Thrones may have finished running more than a year ago, but new details continue to emerge for the blockbuster series. Martin recently filmed the original Game of Thrones pilot cameo, but revealed that he didn’t come back to film the role when the pilot was re-shot. Martin also talked about the Game of Thrones scene he hates most.

More importantly, Martin hopes to finish writing the Winds of Winter by the end of 2021.

Also, while the Game of Thrones was over, another Game of Thrones prequel series pilot was filmed, but the spin-off isn’t moving forward. It would have focused on the heroic age.
