How to use the Sheikah sensor

If a quest is out of material, you have the option to press the X button to register the quest. You can only register two quests at a time, but you can track up to six materials between both quests. To remove a quest from the sensor, tap X again while watching the quest, giving you the option to unlock the sensor’s registered spots.

Tracked materials will have a green sensor icon. Registered quests also have a green dot on the map icon, so you can see at a glance which quest is currently being tracked. If the mission or shop contains the necessary materials, the location will give off a green aura.

When you highlight a shop or mission that contains tracked material, you’ll also see a sensor icon above that item. Once you have the required amount of material, you will be notified that you can complete the tracked quest.

If you have an item you want to track, you can also manually mark up to 6 materials to track. To do this, press and hold the R button on the map screen, Material menu..
