In France, more than 50,000 COVID cases are recorded per day

France said on Saturday that more than 50,000 people have been positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours due to a surge in cases of COVID-19, despite millions of people receiving vaccine booster shots.

The country recorded 51,624 new daily cases of COVID, Health authorities Said.

In France, an average of about 41,000 new cases per day have been recorded in the past week, compared to less than 28,000 a week ago.

Approximately 694 people have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours, of which 119 have been seriously ill.

The coronavirus killed 113 people in the same period.

Incidents surged as France headed for winter.

Health Minister Olivier Véran has so far excluded the blockade, but has urged all adults in 67 million countries to enroll in the third COVID vaccine jab by mid-January.
