In the New World, the number of servers I had at the time of launch has more than doubled.

New World has been updated. Version 1.0.1 has dozens of bug fixes and one major change for the War mechanic, but Amazon acknowledges that much of its work in NewWorld today is just an extension of server access.

“Last week we shared that our top priority was to allow everyone to log in and play quickly without waiting for a queue,” Amazon wrote in a blog update yesterday. We continue to develop the server capacity of existing servers and the ability for players to transfer characters to another server. It will be available soon. “

New World launched last week, gaining an unexpectedly large number of players, reaching 700,000 simultaneous players in the first 24 hours. Unfortunately, Amazon only offered up to 2,000 players each on the New World 200 server, resulting in a very long load queue and angry players waiting in line for hours to play. (As a result, some servers have launched review bombings).

With more than doubling the server capacity, New World should be much better at handling player load, but Amazon is cracking down on AFKers to keep the server from overloading. A recent update has reduced the AFK timer from 25 minutes to 20 minutes and issued a warning at 15 minutes. The server also has some new software that detects that the player is using the software and prevents it from being detected as an AFK.

Also, players will not be able to create new characters on the full server, but we hope that future player forwarding systems will allow people to play with their friends more permanently.

In addition to server-related ones, there are dozens of bug fixes and war changes where turret projectiles simply move from objects to hit scan detection. This is expected to reduce the load on the server and improve gameplay.
