Insurgency: Sandstorm will hit PS4 and Xbox One next month

Insurgency: It’s been a while since I heard the news about the console version under development for Sandstorm. This will change today due to the final release date.

New World Interactive today announced that Insurgency: Sandstorm will be available on PS4 and Xbox One on September 29th. The game is upward compatible on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S, supports up to 4K resolution and 60 fps, but will evolve further over the next year with next-generation enhancement patches.

Modern tactical shooters can be pre-ordered in three different editions: Standard ($ 40), Deluxe ($ 70) and Gold ($ 80). The Deluxe Edition adds a 1st year pass, and the Gold Edition includes it as well as the 2nd year pass. Each of these passes comes with 16 cosmetic sets.

All pre-orders include Warlord Gearsets and Peacemaker Gearsets.

Insurgency: Sandstorm was originally planned to be released on the console along with the PC in 2018, but was finally pushed back in 2019, then in the spring of 2020, and then in 2021. Moved from August to September due to recent delays.

Sandstorm includes a co-op mode for AI and a set of competitive multiplayer modes.

The PC version was well received at the time of launch, although there were some problems. Since then, new content and a ton of fixes have been released in regular patches and have been significantly improved.
