James Hinchcliffe Returning to Andretti Autosport for the full IndyCar season. This is a big recovery after the popular Canadians put together just six races last year.
Hinchcliffe was replaced by the Aroma McLaren SP in late 2019 and became blind when the contract lasted one year. With limited time to find a new job, he signed sponsor Genesys for three races with Andretti.
He finally took part in six IndyCar events last year, announced a 10-race partnership with Genesis on Tuesday and returned to a full-time ride. No. 29 Honda sponsorship for the remaining 7 races of the IndyCar schedule will be announced at a later date.
“This program has been underway since the day we signed a three-race contract with Andretti Autosport last March,” Hinchcliffe said. “My goal has always been to return full-time. I’m very happy to know that I’m back on the grid. I’ve had a lot of great memories and successes with a great team.”
Andretti Autosport will also field full season cars in 2021 Colton Herta, Ryan Hunter-Reay And Alexander Rossi.. Marco Andretti So far, we’ve just announced the Indianapolis 500 on IndyCar’s schedule.
Genesys is considered a global leader in cloud customer experience with a significant employee presence in Indianapolis. Last year, Hinchcliffe was able to partner with Genesis in three races, including the Indianapolis 500, which was trying to stay in the car after a sudden shot by Arrow.
He was able to sponsor Hinchcliffe to Andretti, who spent three seasons from 2012 to 2014. He won three races in that stint with Andretti and was also the starting point for the front row of the Indy 500.
