The Los Angeles Lakers lost three games in a row after playing against the Denver Nuggets (96-133). In Denver, seven players finished the game with double-digit scores, but in Los Angeles, only three players reached that level.
According to Lakers legend James Worthy, purple and gold did not appear in the game and did not make the necessary efforts.
“I saw a team that couldn’t get any momentum,” Worthy told Spectrum SportsNet. “I’m a little against the team they’re supposed to win. I didn’t see any teams appearing tonight in the Denver match tonight.
“Denver shot a high percentage from both the field and three points to allow them to do what they did. Like Jeff Green, a guy who had an average of 26 per game of 10 points. Let’s take a look. And I think Highland was another guy, averaging 8 points. Everyone got what they wanted.
“I can talk about statistics and play styles. For me, they just had to decide what they wanted to do, as long as the effort to play was effort, effort, effort. These are effort plays. Denver is good, Jokić is good.
“I have never seen a team appearing to play tough, hard games in the effort department. They have to look for a soul in this type of game.”
