The reason I post COVID data is that this is important to the economy. From this week’s FOMC statement:

Currently, an average of nearly 2 million tests are performed daily in the United States. Based on experience in other countries, daily in the United States, the positive rate should be less than 5% (probably close to 1%) for proper testing and tracing (and isolation) to reduce infection. Cases and hospitalizations seem to have peaked, but have declined from very high levels.
