Left knee MRI Baltimore Ravens According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, JK Dobbins’ running back confirmed that he was suffering from an ACL break at the end of the season with a 37-3 victory over the Washington Football Team on Saturday.
Dobbins was injured in the ninth play of the contest on Saturday. His left knee was hit by Jimmy Moreland’s shoulder, a cornerback in Washington.
The 22-year-old was unable to put weight on his left leg and had to be helped off the field.
Entering the sophomore season, the second round of 2020 picks were set to lead Baltimore in 2021. Last year he rushed to 805 yards and nine touchdowns, playing a key role in the Ravens playoff push.
With Dobbins out, Gus Edwards, Justice Hill and Tyson Williams need to step up to Baltimore’s fierce attack. Edwards ran for his career’s best 723 yards and 6 scores last season, but Hill and Williams made little contribution.
Ravens may sign another running back in the coming days with the final roster cut this week. Todd Gurley, Duke Johnson, Kerryon Johnson, TJ Yeldon, LeSean McCoy, Adrian Peterson and Le’Veon Bell are in an unsigned bag this summer.
