Jon Rahm joins Callaway Golf – GOLF Sports

World No. 2 Jon Rahm has signed a multi-year contract with Callaway to tee off with a new club and apparel set at this week’s Sentry Tournament of Champions.

The transfer of Lahm from TaylorMade to Callaway Golf was in the pipeline for several months after the agreement was confirmed on Monday.

The 26-year-old goes looking for his first major title, so he’s ready for a big year on the PGA Tour. Therefore, he celebrates the New Year with a fresh look, including Callaway’s prototype driver and irons.

Lahm is now wearing the Travis Mathews series with Callaway caps and standard staff bags.

“I’m very happy to be part of Callaway. I can’t wait for this year to start. The equipment is already on track and in the first round of the new setup I shot course record 59 on Silverleaf. I We are confident in the new Callaway club, especially the golf ball that really impressed us during the testing process, “the Spaniards said in a statement.

Lahm joined Callaway’s other big name, Zander Schaufele, to enhance its long-term presence in the Phil Mickelson brand.

“In preparation for John’s fitting, we enthusiastically studied his driving performance statistics and favorable launch / spin conditions,” said Callaway PGA Tour Jacob Davidson.

“This allowed John to build his attention-grabbing driver right after the first few swings. Then he made some small adjustments and began investigating the number of boot monitors. The speed of the ball was impressive, but more importantly, I saw his dispersion narrow the range.

Lahm will be one of Hawaii’s most active celebrities this week as the PGA Tour celebrates its New Year.
