Happy November, a true believer! It’s been over two months since its launch, and it was an exciting and rewarding trip. Despite various setbacks and obstacles along the way, we continue our mission to provide you with the Avengers experience we promised. As you know, most of it is new content. As the first new superhero to appear in Marvel’s Avengers, I’m very excited to kick off at Kate Bishop, who also has a Hawkeye cloak.
Kate Bishop is a world-class archer, a skilled swordfighter, and a master of sarcasm and snark. As a disciple of Clint Barton, who is not as superhuman as he is, she boasts an impressive skill set that allows her to stand on her toes with the Avengers to protect the world. This is a duty that the conscientious Kate takes very seriously. Kate Bishop’s first comic appearance was in Young Avengers (2005) # 1 and in her own series Hawkeye (2016) # 1. The latter cover inspires one of Kate’s in-game outfits. Not only did we stay true to why we fell in love with her in the cartoon, but we also wanted to tell our own story.
You’ll meet Kate when she’s looking for her previous mentor, Clint Barton, by taking her own story operation, Marvel’s Avengers: Kate Bishop-Aim. Along the way, she discovered a huge plot (with huge time travel levels), including the missing Nick Fury and the terrifyingly powerful new threat Super Adaptoid. She picks up the Hawkeye cloak, joins the Avengers, reaches the bottom of the mystery, and saves a world that doesn’t even know it’s at stake.
When designing Kate’s kit, it was important to balance her and Clint’s similarities with her unique style differences. She learned so much from him that she wanted to reflect it in her abilities, but having her own heroic, intrinsic, takedown was just as important. .. I counted.
Playing as Kate means dancing on the battlefield, where you haven’t been in one place for a long time. She has reused AIM technology that uses quantum energy to enhance rapid movement around the enemy. Her intrinsic attack teleports her around the enemy, increasing sword damage. Her blinking skills allow double jumps, air dashes, and ledge traverses via short-range teleportation. Kate can also drive away enemies with a Quantum Shift. The Quantum Shift teleports away from the attack and returns from behind to attack. After all, using AIM’s proprietary technology for them is what Kate should do.
As a Master Archer, Kate has a wide variety of bow skills, each with an upgrade that can be unlocked. Her razor arrow can be fired with a quick 3-shot remote combo, or at the perfect time for bonus damage. Scatter Shot Arrows allow you to shoot multiple arrows at once. This is useful for controlling crowds and damaging nearby enemies. Explosive Arrows are great for staggering enemies and breaking through defenses. Finally, her smoke screen arrow causes high stun damage to everything in the smoke cloud.
Kate’s heroics are all her own, and we wanted to make sure they truly reflected her personality. Decoy is Kate’s support heroic. It shoots a quantum energy arrow at the target and produces her hologram replica that distracts the target. If you want to take deception to another level, use After Image, a place-exchangeable upgrade, and the Self-Destruct remote will explode the decoy and trigger a large burst of quantum damage. Double the trouble! Her assault heroic, Warp Arrow, allows you to teleport long distances while causing a large quantum explosion that lifts enemies into the air upon arrival. Wormhole is a Warp Arrow upgrade option that creates a portal that allies can use to quickly teleport the battlefield and join Kate. Quantum Overdrive is her Ultimate Heroic, which provides unlimited intrinsic energy and powers her bow, allowing it to fire quantum energy arrows with explosive results. Everyone is looking forward to how to customize Kate’s kit!
And of course, Kate is also very skilled at swords. It’s miserable for those who underestimate her when she puts away the bow. Use her sword to make quick and agile sword attacks to deal with stupidly adventurous enemies in the immediate vicinity of her. We definitely don’t want to be her bad side, as she has powerful abilities and offensive weapons at her disposal. Otherwise, you will be afraid and tremble.
After Kate’s story is Clint’s story, both intertwined with each other, with each part of the larger puzzle intertwined. You will be able to play Clint Barton in early 2021!
Kate is coming to Marvel’s Avengers on December 8th. We look forward to your digital photos, gameplay videos, reactions, builds, and feedback to her! As always, thank you for your encouragement and suggestions — we couldn’t do it without you.
