Keanu Reeves is a Canon of Cyberpunk 2077.
It’s actor Keanu Reeves same as Johnny Silver Hand played by the character’s real Keanu Reeves in the next CD Projekt game.
This all comes from the recent release of the “No Save Point” music video by Yankee and Brave. This is a fictional cyberpunk group played by the real American hip-hop supergroup Run The Jewels. No Save Point is a song you can listen to on Cyberpunk 2077.
As you can imagine, this is all very cyberpunk, and it’s pretty unobtrusive, except for the lyrics that are certainly tongue-in-cheek within the game’s lore community. “Keanu Reeves, Cyber Arm Under My Sleeves” wraps Killer Mike.
It’s a music video of a song that appears in the game, but since it’s cyberpunk, folklore is a serious business. Why hear the lyrics about Keanu Reeves in the cyberpunk world?
That’s the question that triggered an explanation from Cyberpunk 2077 Senior Quest Designer Patrick K. Mills, who used Twitter to make sure Keanu Reeves’ lyrics were “folklore-friendly.”
The lyrics of KR are folklore-friendly. This is a cosmic cultural to the lesser-known collapse-era actor KR, who has a boring and mysterious analogy to Johnny Silverhand and was often mistaken for JS for years after Johnny’s disappearance. It is a reference. ?? https://t.co/AxpPvlww97

why? According to Mills, the lyrics are a cultural reference to the universe to Keanu Reeves, “a lesser-known collapsed actor with a mysterious similarity to Johnny Silverhand.” In the cyberpunk world, Keanu Reeves was often mistaken for Johnny Silverhand in the years following Johnny’s disappearance.
It sounds a bit brute force, but let’s do it. Collapse is a period within the folklore of cyberpunk, including the collapse of Western civilization. The cyberpunk timeline is different from the real world around the 90’s, and the collapse occurs shortly after that divergence.
Keanu Reeves (the real Keanu Reeves!) Was born in 1964, so it would have knocked on the pre-collapse cyberpunk timeline. The life of cyberpunk cleaves didn’t go as breathtakingly as the real life of Reeves.
It’s all a little fun, really-at worst a little jarring, and at best a cool nod to the presence of a virtual world celebrity. Some take all this seriously about the timeline and whether Keanu Reeves should be canonical in the world of Cyberpunk 2077.
Well, he is! You might hear a song about Keanu Reeves on the radio as you drive the world, exchange organs for tech, and hack the road to stardom. Who was it again? Oh yeah, there’s an old actor who’s apparently still knocking, much like Johnny Silverhand.
