Landon Cassil returns to full-time NASCAR competition – Motorsports

On Friday, JD Motorsports announced that 31-year-old Cassill would return to the organization to compete again on the full schedule of the Xfinity series. This time, No. 4 Drive the Chevrolet.

Casil has driven the organization many times in the past, including the 2014 season when he finished 12th in the series rankings. Last year, Casil ran only four NASCAR races in the Xfinity series for team owner Morgan Shepherd.

“His team of Johnny and Gaffney, South Carolina means the world to me, and it’s a great honor to return to the 4th Chevy,” said Casil. “We did a lot together and look forward to achieving more this season.

“He has a great lineup of drivers to work with this season, and I can’t wait to see what we all get together.”

He became JDM’s third full-time driver in 2021 and joined Jeffrey Earnhardt at Nop. 0 and 15 Colby Howard.

The final full-time season of Casil’s NASCAR competition was the 2019 season, driving the No. 00 Chevrolet in the StarCom Racing Cup Series.
