Riot Games, the developer of League of Legends, has announced that the in-game chat capabilities of multiplayer games will be further tweaked in two patches: Starting with League of Legends patch 11.1, which will be dropped this week, various tweaks will be made in the MOBA game chat. Some of them should significantly improve the player experience.
League of Legends Senior Experience Designer Jordan Checkman has announced three more chat changes on Twitter. The first change was 11.1 “ctrl + A / drag select”, then the next patch, 11.2. In addition, the developers revealed that scaling adjustments were also made during the 11.2 update. This means that “chats get bigger at smaller resolutions and scale better”. This is exciting news for fans who don’t enjoy adjusting. Chat so much in the last few months.
In late November, Gameplay Design Director Mark Yetter Post Following player feedback on some of these recent changes, some improvements to the feature, and a bundle of useful tweaks arrived in patch 10.25, reducing font size, expanding chat windows, and how many. I fixed that problem.
In addition to these upcoming changes, Checkman said on Twitter that there is a chat adjustment on the developer’s radar to help type while moving the champion in-game, but no fix is yet planned for this. Hmm. Therefore, along with other tweaks, you may not see this drop in the next few patches.
Planned changes to League of Legends in-game chat:
11.1 – Ctrl + A / drag selection
11.2 – Fixed double input bug at end of game
11.2 – Scaling changes (chats get bigger and scale better with lower resolutions)
All of these are subject to change in yaddayadda.
