[Let’s Talk] What are you doing? -March 2021

A new month has begun this week. It’s March and I want to know what you are playing.

Are you playing Bravely Default II, which you just dropped last week? What about some of the other new releases of Switch like Persona 5 Strikers? In any case, please let us know in the comments below.

Last Week’s Topic Highlights: Pokemon Presents-February 2021 Reaction

Taking over the development of minor main series games such as remakes to third parties such as ILCA while working on dramatic new games (and games that start generations) such as Legend is a very good strategy for the future.
I don’t care about remakes of diamonds and pearls. The only problem I’ve ever experienced with these games requires a simple quality of life improvement that this will definitely achieve. Indeed, using a computer eliminates the need to “store large amounts of data.” It would definitely be a little disappointing if it didn’t include platinum content, but I’m happy because there are already large post-games going through in the form of battle zones.
The legend is certainly interesting and the first in the series, but the Breath of the Wild isn’t my tea, and the ones that have a clear inspiration from it need to change the formula to shake me. So we need to see more.
I’ve never been interested in snaps, but I’ve given more power to my peers.
My worst complaint?
Where is the Pokemon Ranger?

I don’t know if this is an unpopular opinion, but I wasn’t very excited about the content of this presentation. The snap didn’t really show anything new. Diamond and pearl remakes don’t seem to be more than a minor visual upgrade. Arceas games seem to be trying new things that I can appreciate, but they look very mediocre when it comes to visuals and performance. Moreover, I can’t imagine Game Freak will offer super-innovative gameplay as they’re trying to look like, but I hope they surprise me.

I’d like you to change the name, but I’m happy to see more of the New Pokemon Snap. But unfortunately, the ship set sail. It gives us hope for the final TCG game for the Nintendo platform, as well as a new Conquest game.

The diamond and pearl remake didn’t hit me like my tea at first. It was released before returning to the series, so the game has no nostalgia. But the more I think about it, the more I like their direction. I know many people wanted steroid sword and shield graphics for this, but I like the art style they were looking for. I don’t know if I’ll pick one of them, but I’m not going to throw it away.

Finally, I love the Legends Arceus idea. I’m completely surprised that they’re actually moving forward with a whole new concept for them, and something that many have been asking for for years. The footage is certainly a bit rough, but they take over a year to polish and improve it. Even more if they decide to have a wider gap between the remake and this.

The only thing that really surprised me was the lack of digital releases. On the 20th anniversary, we acquired red, blue and yellow on the 3DS virtual console. I thought they might release a GBA remake or a third generation of switches as a standalone title. That would be easy money for them. Maybe we will eventually get something like that πŸ™‚
