Lionel admits to Jean that he hasn’t made a pension plan over time

Judi Dench and Jeff Parmer have appeared in the British drama series “As Time Goes By”.

Their true love for each other remains forever intact, even if people are separated by different cultures and for decades. That’s certainly the case with the classic British comedy “As Time Goes By” by the protagonist Ensign Lionel Hardcastle and a nurse at Middlesex Hospital Jean Pergetter.

The television show appeared in nine series on BBC One from the early 1990s to the mid-2000s. “As Time Goes By” follows two ex-girlfriends, Lionel and Jean, who unexpectedly reunited after 38 years of loss of contact. The two, played by Jeff Parmer and Judi Dench, met and fell in love in the summer of 1953, before Lionel was sent to South Korea. They inadvertently lost contact with each other and began pursuing other romantic relationships before reuniting in the early 1990s.

The repeat of the series is broadcast on Drama Filmon TV network channel. The latest episodes airing on Filmon can be streamed from 12:20 pm to 1:00 pm local time. You can watch it live or record it and watch it later.

Episode 5 of Series 8 of “As Time Goes By”, entitled “Future Imperfections,” was written by Bob Lalbay and directed by Sydney Rotterby. The episode follows Lionel when he admitted to Jean that he had neglected to make a pension plan.
