Loop heroes are an absolute pleasure – RPG games, strategy games, card games, roguelike games, and … a mashup that transcends the genre of idol games? It’s hard to explain in one sentence, but its addictive, well, loops have been impressed by players thanks to the substantive demos and are becoming a major indie breakout on Steam.
Only 24 hours after its release, developer Four Quarters announced that Loop Hero has already attracted more than 150,000 players. It’s currently number two on Steam’s top-selling list, right behind the very popular Valheim. As SteamDB shows, the game has reached 38,764 simultaneous players. It’s one of the most popular games on the platform, between Civ6 and Path of Exile and more.
It’s easy to see why. Loop heroes place both monsters and rewards waiting for small RPG heroes who move all by themselves along a short loop. Each loop becomes increasingly miserable as you progress, and the farther you go, the better treasure from dangerous monsters-and you control the entire dungeon.
As Ian states in Loop Hero’s review, it’s a bit like playing Dungeon Master yourself. The game progresses at a perfect pace so that you can work hard toward your next goal. There is nothing else similar to this. Worth checking.
Our team is overwhelmed by the reaction to Loop Hero and cannot fully thank all the new communities. There are already over 150,000 players.
