EA Sports seems to make fun of some sort of crossover between Madden and SpongeBob, but it’s not really as random as you might think.
Today, Madden NFL’s Twitter account teaser asks fans, “Are you ready?” Attached to the tweet is an image of SpongeBob’s face and date: January 7th. This is probably the time when everything becomes clear about this weird Madden 21 campaign.
It was previously announced that and Nickelodeon, owned by the same company, are working together for a special NFL playoff broadcast. This Sunday’s Wild Card game between the Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints will air on Nickelodeon, and the televised event will include a variety of Nickelodeon-themed elements.
Nickelodeon star Gabriel Nevae Green (All That) appears in the booth with theatrical originator to give her insight, and another All That actor, Rex Lampkin, becomes a deputy reporter. Become. The broadcast also begins with the SpongeBob SquarePants Countdown Special, where NFL star Von Miller talks about some of SpongeBob’s most famous sports moments.
You can get a glimpse of what this weekend’s broadcast will look like on TV-it’s pretty wild. However, keep in mind that more traditional broadcasts are also available on CBS.
During half-time, Nickelodeon will air a new SpongeBob TV show, Compcoral’s special teaser. The show premiered on the streaming platform Paramount + in 2021 and will then air on regular television.
It’s not clear what role the EA Sports and Madden series play in all of this, but something seems to be underway and will soon be revealed. Check GameSpot for more information.
