Mick Schumacher finished the afternoon of testing with Ferrari at the Fiorano Circuit in Italy prior to the rookie Formula One season.
Schumacher, the son of seven-time world champion Michael, is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy and will race for Haas Lola in the United States this season. Ferrari has booked the Fiorano race track for a week of testing on the 2018 car SF71H.
Schumacher completed more than 50 laps by car on Thursday afternoon.

After the test, Schumacher said: “I was able to pass the entire program I had planned without any problems. Being able to drive a lot of mileage with the wheels of an F1 car will start in about a month and a half in the pre-season test next season.
“The SF71H has been a car since 2018, but the behavior on the road and the emotions it gives to the driver are very similar in terms of both the behavior on the road and the physical stress on the current car.
“It makes it a great base when it comes to preparing for the new season.”
The German driver won the Formula 2 Championship last year. He joined Haas’ All-Rookie lineup with Russian Nikita Mazepin.
Schumacher took over from the new Ferrari, which signed Carlos Sainz on Thursday afternoon. Sainz took over from his new teammate Charles Leclerc, who drove on Tuesday, and completed a day and a half of testing.
After finishing the test on Friday, Schumacher will drive in the morning and hand it over to Ferrari’s test driver Callum Ilott on Friday afternoon.
The official F1 preseason test will take place in Bahrain from last 6 days to March 12-14.
The opening race for this season is the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 28th.
