Mike Evans reached a major milestone early in the match against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, but the excitement soon disappeared after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers star suffered a knee injury.
Shortly after starting his career for seven consecutive seasons in the receiving yards of 1,000 yards or more for the first time in NFL history, Evans appeared to have overextended his left knee as he tried to catch a pass in the end zone. He tried to leave the field on his own, but couldn’t put his weight on his left foot.
Evans slipped in the end zone, causing his left knee to bend awkwardly down. Here is the video:
