Minecraft Dungeons will add cross-play next week

Mojang’s Hack & Slasher Minecraft Dungeons will blow up barriers between platforms next week. Mojang said in a Minecraft Live presentation last month that he plans an update that extends collaboration beyond the boundaries of the console. Now I have the date at hand. From November 17th, you will be able to dungeon dive with your friends on other systems.

Mojang showed off some cross-play during Minecraft Live, and the developers briefly explained howling peak DLC scheduled for next month. Seeing that, the controller and keyboard work in harmony.

If it’s not clear enough from a handy colored background, Mojang says Players will be able to collaborate between PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

If you’re interested in that Howling Peak DLC, it’s scheduled for December. There’s a goat that can drive you off the cliff (like the one that will come to proper Minecraft next summer), a wind that can push you away, and a new Tempest Golem boss that can evoke the wind. You can read a little more about howling peak planning in the Minecraft Live summary.

When it comes to cross-play, it will always get a vote from me. This will probably rejuvenate the plan, as we weren’t able to bring together our fellow crew to play Minecraft Dungeons as expected.

Next Tuesday, November 17th, you’ll be able to play with your console buddies.
