Do you remember the Mortal Kombat movie? Original from 1995? That’s my guilt. I liked stupid fights, stupid conversations and rope-like sets, and I liked Christopher Lambert’s stupid performance as the famous thunder god Raiden.
Twenty-five years later, Lambert has replayed the role of Mortal Kombat 11’s Klassic MK movie skinpack as Raiden-and that’s great.
Here is Lambert’s caricature and his voice, offering a new conversation just for the game. His character model looked great, and developer NetherRealm added lightning bolts of different colors depending on the version of Raiden used (includes Dark Ridden!).
The pack also includes movie skins for Sonya Blade and Johnny Cage. These are as good as Raiden. Bridgette Wilson-Samplas replays her role as a blade, Linden Ashby plays Cage.
This £ 4.99 pack has a lot of new lines. The following YouTuber MKIceAndFire video is a compilation of pre-game chats.
Of course, by adding Lambert’s Raiden, you can set up a battle between the movie Raiden and the movie Shunting. The Evil Wizard has a wonderful design that incorporates the portrait and voice of Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa, who played Shan Tung in the movie.
Oh, 1995. A simpler era.
