The makers of Metro Exodus are working on a new sequel, and there’s also a multiplayer version of the apocalyptic survival game.

New metro game (irrelevant) The Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation were announced by developer 4A Games, which plans a “complete overhaul” of existing game engines for the new generation.

Before that, the existing game Metro Exodus will get a dedicated next-generation version with faster frame rates, higher resolution, faster load times, and new ray tracing effects.

We’ve always been so impressed with Metro Exodus that everything sounds good news to us. In particular, the publisher Deep Silver has confirmed that existing owners have a free upgrade.

There is no release date for the next generation Metro Exodus or its sequel, but 4A Games has released, which shows the history of the studio and its games.

But that’s not all. We’re partnering with World War Z developer Sabre Interactive to spin off multiplayer.

There is a little more information on the 4A Games blog. They claim that this is what they always wanted to do, but they didn’t have the time.

“No matter what we do, it doesn’t undermine the ambitions of our single player,” the studio claims. “We need a dedicated team focused exclusively on online components. This is what the new partnership with Saber brings.”
