Multiplexing by fine particle immunoassay

Traditional immunoassays, such as ELISA, use antibodies to detect one target per sample. By analyzing multiple targets in a sample, scientists can maximize the data obtained from each assay and increase productivity. The new magnetic particle-based immunoassay uses the same principles as traditional sandwich ELISAs, but researchers can multiplex by quantifying up to 100 biomarkers per sample.
