Naples “stepped in” at the perfect start of the Serie A season – Insigne – Soccer Sports

Naples captain Lorenzo Insigne emphasized that Serie A leaders are on the ground at the perfect start of the season.

Incine scored as a bright red Naples who hasn’t scored a scudetto since 1990, beating Cagliari 2-0 at home on Sunday and scoring six wins in six games.

Naples star Victor Osimhen scored in the 11th minute and Insigne doubled the lead with a penalty in the 12th minute of the second half.

Luciano Spalletti’s Naples won each of the first six games of the second Serie A season in history since 2017-18, but Incine insisted that the team wasn’t crazy.

“We got off to a good start, but we have to bow our heads and keep our feet on the ground. This is a very long way to go,” Incine told DAZN, Naples two points away from Milan.

“It’s an incredible feeling [with the fans], I enjoy it, pay everyone back with my performance and help the team win the game. “

For the first time since February 2019, Naples has maintained a clean sheet for three consecutive Serie A games.

Meanwhile, Osimhen jointly scored the most goals in September in all tournaments between players from the top five European leagues, at the same level as Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.

“The coach wants us to have fun while we work,” said Incine. “As a captain, I missed a point in the Champions League last season, so I can only say that I need to keep my foot on the ground, so I need to make up for it.

“We’re trying to play Spalletti football. He knows we’re just disappointed in the Europa League and he’s trying to lift us up.”
