Chef (2014) *
We always enjoy seeing MCU veterans reunited for smaller and more off-quilter projects. Chef is one of the most memorable of these projects. Iron Man’s Jon Favreau writes, directs, and stars as Karl Gaspar, a talented chef who was forced to reinvent himself as a food truck owner after head-to-head with his boss. .. Favlow may have directed some of Disney’s most ambitious and expensive blockbusters in the last decade, but the chef is still at home and working on smaller, more intimate comedies. Welcome that.

Easy A (2010) *
Many of us may have bad memories of reading Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter in high school, but this goofy comedy adds a clever spin to that stuffy old classic. .. Easy A is less adaptable than a modernized, loosely connected compliment and always casts an entertaining Emma Stone as an olive. Olive is a high school student who can benefit from pretending to be sleeping with his classmates. Not surprisingly, the plan quickly goes out of control and becomes one of the better high school comedies in recent memory. It’s thanks to co-stars Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson, who play the most eccentric and hilarious hippie parents that social exiles can seek.

Noah Hawley’s excellent TV spin-off has been the focus of attention lately, but keep in mind that Fargo is one of the best of the Coen brothers. A long and brilliant filmography. This black comedy / Midwestern crime noir is one of the best performing ever as William H. Macy, an unfortunate car salesman who hires two criminals to kidnap his wife and pay the ransom. I will star in one. Frances McDormand is as strong as the hard-working cop Marge Ganderson, the only hero in the morally bankrupt Sea of Moron.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010)
Strangely struggling to find a foothold for box office, Scott Pilgrim vs. World is one of the best cartoon adaptations of the last decade. Capturing the funny and quirky spirit of Bryan Lee O’Mary’s graphic novel, he casts Michael Cera as a hero who loves and dislikes responsibility for famous video games. Come to the cartoon-style special effects and celebrity cameo, but take a serious look at the boy who is finally aware that he needs to grow.

Swiss Army Man (2016)
Swiss Army Man may sound like a disaster on paper. It’s basically a survival story about a man whose only corpse of Daniel Radcliffe’s flatulence is struggling to stay alive on a remote island for the company. But in action, it’s one of the most unique and fun comedies that will easily come in a few years. Paul Dano offers a great one-man show, and the film offsets that strangeness with a very attractive and uplifting look on a man finding a way back to light through the power of farewell and friendship.

Not Another Teen Movie (2001)
On the surface, it looks like it’s cut from the same cloth as the scary movie series and various other disposable parody movies, but one teen movie is more challenging than most of the time. It ramps everything from seeds all that to American pie to pretty in pink, but it also acts as a completely fun teen comedy in its own right. It helps that the two leads, Chyler Leigh and Chris Evans, are truly talented actors who later became stars.
Don’t watch another teen movie on Netflix.
This disaster film parody is more than just gaining its place in the greatest comedy of all time. airplane! Indeed, it’s one of the most meme-worthy films ever made. Non-stop delivery of gag and bunter, combined with a stunning cast of all-around including Leslie Nielsen, Robert Hays and Julie Hagerty, creates a winning formula that never goes out of date.

Dremite is my name (2019)
Eddie Murphy offers one of the best performances of his career under Dolemite Is My Name, a biography of Dolemite creator Rudy Ray Moore. It’s basically Blaxploitation, the equivalent of Ed Wood. Ed Wood is a comedy that lovingly celebrates eccentric off-quilter artists who have never been truly valued in their time. It’s also one of the purest entertaining movies you can find on Netflix, and arguably one of the better original movies on streaming services.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail is one of the stupidest, weirdest, and most inspirational comedies ever made. Monty Python, a group of British sketch comedies, aimed at British history and its most beloved cultural icons, cut off all limbs and made some points about the ridiculous things of mankind in the past. (And how ridiculous it is still). Graham Chapman starred as Arthur and was tasked with finding the Holy Grail. The Holy Grail sends him and his stupid knights one after another to stupid and unforgettable missions to perform tasks such as buying implants, ruining wedding arrangements, and not having sex.

How to Choose the Best Comedy Movies on Netflix
Netflix is full of entertaining comedies. We narrowed the list by choosing a combination of recent hits like Dolemite Is My Name and classics like Monty Python and Holy Grail. We also want to combine a wide range of favorites with relatively esoteric picks like Francis Ha. And of course, movies that work well on collective sites like Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic are always a plus. The goal is to have a list that everyone can laugh at, regardless of taste.
