New RAM 3500 Launches in Australia

The all-new RAM 3500 Laramie, the largest vehicle in RAM Trucks Australia, has been officially released locally.

Following the recent releases of the RAM2500 Heavy Duty model and the new 1500 Laramie and Limited models earlier this year, the RAM3500 completes the range of full-size pickup trucks available in Australia.

The all-new 3500 Laramie has undergone the same wide range of design, certification and manufacturing processes that both 2500 and 1500 models have passed.

This includes 50,000 hours of pre-build development, 80,000 km of rolling road tests, and 50,000 km of actual road driving, which surpassed the 20,000 km full vehicle durability test.

“The all-new 3500 will complete the tasks we set up in early 2021 and provide Australian consumers with vehicles for all kinds of purposes,” said Jeff Barber, National Manager of RAM Trucks Australia. Stated.

“The 3500 is a remarkable vehicle that will be at the heart of our product offering in 2021. Stellantis (formerly Fiat Chrysler Automobiles USA),” he said.

Powered by a 6.7-liter in-line 6-cylinder Cummins engine, the RAM3500 delivers 276kW of output and 1,152Nm of torque, with up to 8.0 tonnes of traction in certain situations.

Two-stage vertical leaf springs connected to a sturdy rear axle allow the 3500 to handle payloads up to 1,724 kg.

RAM Trucks Australia is the only RAM certified manufacturer in the world of right-hand drive RAM Trucks. The relationship with RAM Tracks in the United States began in 2013.

Over 400 new parts from local sources are involved in left-to-right conversion and driving.
