New York Giants shuffle offensive staff and promote Freddie Kitchen – NFL Sports

Jason Garrett is expected to remain the attack coordinator for the New York Giants, but one of his main assistants has been promoted.

ESPN’s Jordan Raanan reports that in 2020 Freddie Kitchens, the team’s tight end coach, was promoted to senior attack assistant.

Derek Dooley, who was appointed Senior Attack Assistant in his first year as a giant, will replace the kitchen as a tight-end coach for the 2021 season, assuming he remains in East Rutherford.

The 46-year-old Kitchen has been in the league since 2006 with the Dallas Cowboys under Bill Parcells.

Kitchen was dismissed as Associate Head Coach, Running Back Coach and Attack Coach for Cleveland Browns in 2018 and eventually became Head Coach in 2019.

After the judge was hired in 2020, the kitchen was appointed as a tight end coach. This is the first NFL title under Parcels. When Garrett became infected with COVID-19 and was forced to leave the team for a week last season, Kitchen took over as interim attack coordinator when he lost to Browns.

Under the kitchen, the Giants’ attack was very aggressive. As a result, the kitchen caught the eye of Cleveland and was promoted to Browns head coach in the first place.

Some wonder if the judge could take over the kitchen as the Giants’ attack coordinator, assuming Garrett gets the job of head coach, or if the attack will continue to struggle as in 2020. ..
