Newcastle 3 Brentford 3-Match Ratings and Comments for All NUFC Players – Soccer Sports

After Newcastle 3 Brentford 3, we asked Jonathan Drapecomin to rate the match and comment on the players.

Newcastle United kicked off brightly, scoring 10 minutes later, but conceding within seconds …

Then, after lagging behind both 2-1 and 3-2, he returned to the level twice, but couldn’t find a winner in a very open game.

Matching rating:

Karl Darlow – 0

It’s absolutely shocking.

I can’t believe Dubravka was sitting on the bench for the last three games while this guy stood between the posts during the most important period of the season.

Keeping the first goal is terrible, but the third goal really takes biscuits. What was he doing in the buildup? Keep him in reserve and drive him away in January.

I thought he was okay!

Probably not enough, to be honest, at a decent pace and will provide something in the future.

Be defensively suspicious, especially regarding the second goal.

Schar – 6

Welcome return to the side.

I was going to give him a 7, but can’t I give Brentford a 3 at home and get a 7?

I still thought he was okay – the head and shoulders above the other two centre-backs playing with him.

Russell – 4

I won the opener, but it’s not really, really, really enough.

Despite being a captain, Howe makes a large phone call in January because his performance does not justify his choice.

Clark – 3

Three are generous.

Run everywhere by Tony. He needs to move on and replace as soon as possible.

Ritchie – 4

Similarly, he loves the man and he takes off his socks, but not enough.

He is terrible this season.

I think he got a little better today, and will probably look better on him under Howe, but not enough.

Shelvey – 7

One of the best players today.

I got things up and understood myself about the pitch.

Calm down and compose in the middle.

Before returning to Jonjo, who everyone knows, let’s see how long he can keep it.

Willock – 3

It was overrated and didn’t exist today either.

I didn’t understand hurray about him during the summer, and he’s well below the subpart this season.

Needs improvement, but looking out from his depth with a poor NUFC team.

Joelinton – 7

Probably his best game for NUFC.

The first touch was on target, it made things happen, he did his best, he got his goal brilliantly … and he should have been able to win it in the end.

NUFC still looks like a team.

If ASM is making things happen, there is a chance. What a player.

There were some chances he should have taken, not his day today.

Fraser – 7

Great impact, great cross.

Still would go with Joelinton to Arsenal (I can’t believe I’m saying that!).

Longstaff – Not applicable

(Not sufficiently involved in making a decision)
