According to PWInsider, the original plan for WWE RAW’s Legends Night edition was for WWE Hall of Fame Hulk Hogan to join the promotional ring. However, the plan changed and it was decided to have Hogan hold a cold open behind the scenes. This can be confirmed below.
It was noted that Hogan and WWE Hall of Fame Ric Flair attended the production meeting before yesterday’s RAW.
WWE Champion Drew McIntyre held Keith Lee’s title at last night’s RAW main event. Later, WWE Hall of Fame Bill Goldberg confronted McIntyre and challenged him on January 31st at Royal Rumble’s pay-per-view. The original plan was for RAW to end in a Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy match, but a decision was made. We closed off with a WWE title match so they could make an angle with Goldberg.
When they decided to make an angle between McIntyre and Goldberg, the original plan was to have McIntyre cut the promotion for WWE Legend as the last segment and set the Goldberg entrance. However, RAW had some timing issues and was executed late, so they took part in the promotion and Goldberg came out much earlier.
As for Goldberg’s astonishing appearance, he was very hidden behind the scenes until the time he made the entrance. He wasn’t in the script for last night’s show.
Stay tuned for more details.
