THQ Nordic officially announced that Wreckfest will be available on PS5 on June 1st, with many new improvements. The $ 10 upgrade provides a 4K / 60fps gaming experience and faster loading times.
Wreckfest is already available on PS5 via backward compatibility and joined the Xbox Game Pass in February. But the game hasn’t yet received a new generation of official support on either console-and it’s changing. The PS5 native version of the acclaimed dismantling racer costs $ 40 for new players, but if you own the original on PS4, you can pay to upgrade for $ 10.
According to THQ Nordic, the PS5 version of Wreckfest “provides the best gaming experience on the console and maximizes new hardware power” to significantly reduce load times. Wreckfest’s new and enhanced visuals include dynamic vehicle stains, high-resolution textures, foliage gains, shadows, particles, and improved lighting. The game runs at 4K resolution and 60fps, in addition to providing full support for DualSense tactile effects. Wreckfest’s multiplayer on PS5 features 24 players.
THQ includes the latest Wreckfest improved trailer, showing more turbulent slow-motion shots than ever, full of detailed flying car parts and high-resolution scrap metal.
Wreckfest was released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2018. This is the old-fashioned destructive derby racer of Bugbear Entertainment, the studio that developed the iconic FlatOut and FlatOut2. The company then continued its racing gaming heritage at Ridge. Racer unbound, and finally Recfest. Bugbear was not involved in the development of FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction or FlatOut 4: Total Insanity.
