Nintendo has announced the acquisition of its Canadian development studio, Next Level Games. This has helped provide some great games over the last decade. As it was, former second-party developers will now shift their talents to offer higher quality Nintendo titles.
Next Level Games has been developing games for over 20 years, and with this acquisition, “Development by ensuring the availability of Nintendo’s NLG development resources, including development expertise, and enabling closer communication. Promotes expected improvements in speed and quality. Staff exchanges with the Nintendo Development Team. ”If all goes well, the transaction is expected to close on March 1, 2021.

The acquisition of Studio was a great choice for Nintendo, and with the two partners working exclusively for over a decade, the deal I envisioned was already completed. Developed by Next Level Games Super Mario Strikers, Mario Strikers Charged, Luigi Mansion: Dark Moon, Luigi Mansion 3 and Punch out! !! Over the years.
