Strasburg, the 2019 World Series MVP, has invested a total of 26⅔ innings since the start of the 2020 season. He led the NL in 209 innings in the regular season of the Washington title year, then threw another 36⅓ in the postseason 5-0.

Washington rewarded him with a $ 245 million seven-year contract before the 2020 season, but he has made a total of seven starts since then.
