Oward wins 14 IndyCar tests in Sebring – Motorsports
After finishing fourth in the 2020 Championship, the first full season of the NTT IndyCar Series, Oward lapped the 1.7-mile course in 51.790 seconds.
As a result, it was 0.138 seconds faster than Andretti Autosport-Honda’s Alexander Rossi, who went straight to the Sebring Raceway from his victory over Wayne Taylor Racing’s Acura in the 24 Hours of Daytona.
Team Penske-Chevrolet’s two-time champion Josef Newgarden was third fastest in a quarter of a second, but Colton was subscribing to James Hinchcliffe, which wasn’t available in Andretti’s # 29 car. It surpassed Hinchcliffe and Oliver Askew.
Felix Rosenqvist finished sixth in the second test with the Arrow McLaren SP team, just under 0.5 seconds from Oward.
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing-Honda Takuma Sato and Graham Rahal were 7th and 9th, split by Ed Carpenter Racing-Chevrolet’s Conor Daly.
Similar to the previous Sebring test, Rahal made the most laps (157) of the day, but all but two cars reached a three-digit lap count.

The Aroma Claren SP team ran the same test colors as last year, but McLaren has implemented an impressive new color scheme for PPG, the primary sponsor in 10 of the 17 races this year, and the power car is now. Featuring Season Matte Black Red trimming for the 5G Verizon network, a coloring previously only found on the Indy 500.
