captain: Mitchell Marsh
The mysterious Australian all-rounder recorded 115 runs in 6 innings and remained undefeated in 3 of the last 4 innings. He was also exceptional with the ball in a match against the Adelaide Striker, scoring 14-2 with 4 overs. He is the top run scorer at this venue in BBL, averaging 36.37 in 13 games and 291 runs with a strike rate of 150.
Deputy Captain: Josh Philip
He is the leading run scorer for the ongoing BBL season, scoring 261 runs in 7 innings with a strike rate of 144.19. In the final edition of BBL, Philip won a glittering 44-ball 81 against the Scorchers.
Liam Living Stone: Last year’s Scorchers top rungetter, Livingston, recorded 425 runs in the 2019-20 season. This included an astonishing 27 six in 14 games, the second highest in the tournament. He loves batting at Optus Stadium and has recorded 177 runs with a strike rate of 155.83 on his last three outings.
Joshengris: Ingris had a groundbreaking season last year, but couldn’t fully build it early this season. After a series of low scores while opening batting, he was demoted to medium, which was astounding for him, earning 44 * (31) and 72 * (41). His innovative batting style can cause some problems for the Sixers bowler.
Daniel Christian: BBL veteran Christians hit the top form in this edition of the league. He picked up 9 wickets on average 20.22 and recorded 99 runs with a strike rate of 215.21. His 16-ball 50 against the striker earlier this season was the second fastest 50 in BBL history.
Jordan silk: The Sixers finisher has done a great job this season, scoring 194 runs in seven games with a strike rate of 151.56. Despite playing primarily in number 5, he has recorded more than 30 runs in four of the last six outings. No one has recorded any more runs in that position this season. It is 179 runs with 119 balls.
Andrew Thai: Andrew Ty wasn’t at its best in the current edition, picking up only four wickets in five innings. However, he has done very well at Optus Stadium in the past, averaging 17.27 and winning 11 wickets in eight games. Against the Sixers, he picked up 15 wickets in 10 games.
- Daniel Hughes and James Vince are interchangeable. The same applies to Daniel Christians and Carlos Brasswaite.
