Embracer Group, the parent company of THQ Nordic, Koch Media, Sabre Interactive and others, has acquired 12 game studios, including: X-COM Julian Gorop’s development team snapshot game.
As reported by MCV, the list of studios includes the snapshot game mentioned above ( Phoenix Point), Pinball FX Developer Zen Studios, SpongeBob Squarepants Battle for Bikini Bottom-RehydratedDevelopers of Purple Lamp Studios, Thinking Ape Entertainment, Mad Head Games, Nimble Giant Entertainment, 34BigThing, IUGO Mobile Entertainment, Coffee Stain North, (Completed purchase of other Coffee Stain Studios in 2018) Quantic Lab and Silent Games.
Subsidiary Koch Media has also acquired its current studio, Flying Wild Hog. Shadow Warrior series. In addition to all this, the company also acquired public relations firm Sandbox Strategies, bringing the total number of group acquisitions to a whopping 1273 (!) Company under Embracer’s huge wings.
Not surprisingly, with quotes from many of these studios involved in these acquisitions, Snapshot’s David Kaye said that his team would be part of Sabre Interactive: “Snapshot is Sabre’s world-class team and power.
