Players have turned off Cyberpunk 2077 film grain to improve console visuals • .net

Here’s how to get Ridley:

If Cyberpunk 2077 feels a bit blurry, you’re not the only one, as many players are complaining about dirty visuals. Thankfully, this is easy to change, and players are currently tweaking the game’s default graphics settings to solve the problem. Don’t expect this to solve all the texture pop-ins and resolution issues in the base console, but we’re waiting for a CDPR patch for that.

with reddit twitterPlayers complained that some of the settings that were automatically enabled in Cyberpunk 2077 (which is there to make the game feel more cinematic) also look blurry. On my Xbox Series SI, I found that the game enabled motion blur, film grain, depth of field, lens flare, and chromatic aberration (blurring the edges of the screen like an old lens). The combination of these makes the game look dirty.

You’ll see the default settings on the left and my game on the right after disabling chromatic aberration, film grain, and motion blur. This does not mean that you can see motion blur.

To resolve this, the player disables a mixture (or in some cases all) of these settings. I tried this on the Xbox Series S, disabled motion blur, film grain, and chromatic aberration and considered it the main offender. We have found that this significantly improves the visual clarity, especially around the edges of the screen. It’s like a small resolution bump. You can also remove the depth of field if you want to go further. PC player We have found that changing the field of view can also help. Some may like the look of the old school Blade Runner, but I love being able to see where I’m heading.

Here’s a quick video showing what the changes look like.

Obviously, this doesn’t improve many of the more serious issues on the base Xbox One and PlayStation 4, so it’s probably more important for new console and PC issues. The full next-generation version of Cyberpunk 2077 will not be released until 2021, so these tweaks will help us get through until a performance upgrade arrives.
