Pokemon 25th Anniversary Bullying

February 2021 celebrated the 25th anniversary of Pokemon, and the Pokemon Company made fun of the following celebrations to commemorate this event. During the 2020 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the company unveiled its anniversary celebration logo, suggesting news coming in 2021.

During the parade, a group of Pikachu danced to the original Pokemon theme song before the Pokemon Trainer unfolded the 25th Anniversary Banner. The logo below is the silhouette of Pikachu’s head, with the red cheeks replaced by 2 and 5. No other information is shared, but given that the anniversary is February, it’s not surprising to expect news relatively early in 2021. ..

It’s been 20 years since the giant Pikachu balloon appeared in the parade, and it’s been 25 years since Pokemon Red and Green were released in Japan in February 1996. September 1998, three years later. The Pokemon Company celebrates the anniversary based on the original Japanese release. The 2016 20th Anniversary Ceremony included the announcement of Pokemon Sun and Moon, the release of Pokemon Red, Green, Blue and Yellow on the Nintendo 3DS, and many events around the world.
