In an update, F4Wonline.com reports that WWE staff are in talks with the Yuengling Center at the University of South Florida in Tampa. There is no confirmation that both parties are discussing the potential residence of The Thunder Dome, but the timing is interesting.
The Yuengling Center was once known as the University of South Florida Sun Dome. If the COVID-19 protocol is not implemented, the venue will have a capacity of 10,411 people. The University of South Florida currently has three teams called the Yuenlin Center. The South Florida Bulls Men’s Basketball Team, the South Florida Bulls Women’s Basketball Team, and the South Florida Bulls Women’s Volleyball Team. The game is not an issue for WWE as the team is not currently playing due to the pandemic. WWE ran the Yuengling Center many years ago before it made a big choice in the region. The 1995 Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View was held in the arena with the Saturday Night’s Main Event in December 1985 and the SNME in December 1988.
