Now, while I’m writing this, I still support Jose Mourinho and believe he’s the right person for the job, but it’s getting harder and harder to protect him.
Mourinho has poor players who cooperate especially in defense, but the brutal truth is that the Spurs team is much stronger than the West Ham team and must not be defeated by David Moyes’ men. Certainly not like it is today.
Mourinho chose a team to defend Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez. Mourinho chose tactics and his decision was to play Eric Lamela in contrast to Gareth Bale, or, dare to say, Dele Alli.
And this is not the first time Mourinho’s choice is questionable.
Playing terrifying football and getting results is one thing, but when you lose to the inferior side when you’re playing badly, it’s a completely different thing.
Mourinho has my loyalty so far, but it’s not a blind loyalty. I would like to patiently imprint his style on the team and give him the opportunity to bring in players of his type, but there are many things that can be taken.
The top four are now almost impossible and our way of playing is hard to claim success in the Europa League. So the Champions League and £ 100m payday are probably beyond the reach of this season.
It is highly doubtful that Mourinho will be able to survive such a failure, and things must change rapidly.
Support is declining rapidly and I can’t really say how long I’ll be supporting the former Real Madrid manager.
