Quake update includes console keyboard and mouse support

The recently released remastered version of the original Quake has received new updates that add many enhancements to the experience, including native PS5 and Xbox Series X / S upgrades. According to a tweet from @idTechpics, you can also enjoy the game using the keyboard and mouse on all consoles.

The photo shows a player playing a game on a Nintendo Switch using a keyboard and mouse. This is certainly fascinating. Even more interesting is the fact that the patch notes don’t mention anything like that, and Bethesda hasn’t made any official posts or communications regarding this addition.

Quake is a very fast first person shooter and definitely best played with your keyboard and mouse. Console fans now have the opportunity to enjoy the game as well. So in short, it’s great. The remaster also includes several new expansion packs developed by Machine Games, the studio behind the great Wolfenstein games.
