Red Dead Online announces cheaper standalone version

Rock for those who like Red Dead Online’s routine “Tootin” multiplayer shooters but aren’t too interested in the full Red Dead Redemption 2 package of Glazing “Trudge” single player buy-ins. Star has announced a standalone version of RDO. It will be available next week and will be available for a few months at an introductory price of $ 5. This is certainly an interesting price for me. Especially because I want to try a conference call within Red Dead Online.

The standalone Red Dead Online will be available next Tuesday, December 1st, and February 15, 2021 at a price of $ 5. Then it can be up to $ 20. For reference, the full RDR2 costs $ 60. It will be available on PlayStation and Xbox in addition to Steam, Epic and Rockstar Launcher. And it will be Red Dead Online. That multiplayer bit. From wandering around in a vast and flashy open world to collaborative missions and competitive modes to boring ways to grind money.

Rockstar’s announcement also mentions plans to expand the role of RDO’s bounty hunters in next week’s update, add new criminals to hunting, and add new equipment and skills to unlock.

Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two, recently said [games] More than we believe it’s worth it to consumers “and talked about GTA Online’s” tethered free play “model [an inaccurate and terrible term -ed.].. Yeah, I’m very happy to have been able to get the huge content updates for the first game I bought for single player for years. But if that online mode isn’t free, charging $ 20 as planned by RDO will greatly reduce your tolerance for the virtual economy. The virtual economy seems to focus on encouraging players to buy and skip in-game cash. Part of the grind.

Rockstar has already announced a standalone version of GTA Online scheduled for 2021, but hasn’t confirmed it for PCs (and doesn’t say it won’t be on PCs). Speaking of GTA, next month Rockstar will add a whole new island with a new robbery. If you can pull it off, you can actually do it solo. I’m sure it’s going to be hard, but it’s not as hard as getting a group of Lands that really fits the purpose of the robbery.

Disclosure: I have a fellow rock star worker, as it seems to be an unavoidable result when living in Edinburgh.
