French outlet L’Equipe released the top 50 players under the age of 20 on Saturday, cut by two up-and-coming US men’s national team players.
Both Borussia Dortmund’s Jo Reina and Valencia’s Yunus Musah were honored. Join some of Europe’s top young talents on the list.. Both players continue to demonstrate their strength through their respective European campaigns in the Bundesliga and Riga.
18-year-old Reina was ranked fifth on the Top 50 list after breaking into Dortmund’s first team in January 2020. Former NYCFC Academy player moved to Germany and became a regular on the Bundesliga giant.
Since her debut in January last year, Reina has scored five goals and added eight assists in her 48th first appearance. USMNT playmakers have participated in several black and yellow tournaments, including the UEFA Champions League.
Musa moved from Arsenal’s Academy to Valencia in 2019 and remained on the first team. He scored two goals in 24 appearances at a Spanish club in Riga and Copa del Rey.
He made his senior debut with Reina in November 2020 with a scoreless draw against Wales.Musa signed Long-term contract extension Together with Valencia in December, he remained the active player on the first team to fold this campaign.
